Administrator Information

Nice to meet you, I am the operator of JSP. If you are reading this, I assume you are interested in staking ADA. One of the most important things for me as a pool operator is to maintain transparency to ensure that delegators can participate in staking with peace of mind. This is because staking in Cardano requires a long-term trust relationship between the operator and delegators. When I choose a pool to delegate to, I also think, “Will the rewards come in properly from this pool?” This insecurity mainly arises from the following reasons:

① Will the current fee suddenly increase one day and reduce the reward?
② Will the delegation amount become saturated and reduce the reward?
③ Will the lack of server specs or maintenance prevent block generation and reduce the reward?

In the end, if the above concerns are alleviated, the stake rewards for any pool will be around 5% annual interest in the long run. However, these concerns cannot be understood by looking at the SPO information on wallets or pool tools, right? Therefore, I believe that it is necessary to actively disclose information and let everyone know the pool’s situation in order to dispel these concerns. This is necessary to build a long-term trust relationship with you all!

Although this may be a long introduction, I would like to talk about myself personally from here.
I am currently in my 30s, and work as a freelance manager for system renovations and operations and maintenance tasks. I have spent around 7 years managing and developing the accounting systems for a certain major convenience store chain and the e-learning system for a certain major cram school. After graduating from a certain national university’s graduate school, I have loved Linux since my college days! I thought I was so cool being able to use Linux (sorry, I had a bit of a teenage phase)! My home computer was Linux, and I programmed to set up my own server and to consider whether artificial intelligence, which I was studying at the time, could predict stock prices (which is now an embarrassing past memory). I chose a science major for graduate school, but thanks to my strong passion for Linux, I was able to enter as the top student (which is something I’m a little proud of).

The reason I talked about this is that Linux is used on stake pool servers, and I did stake pool operation and maintenance when I was a company employee, so I wanted to say that you can leave the stake pool operation to me!! (I apologize for being bad at communicating…) Anyway,

  • I don’t change the fee settings without permission, and I keep them at the minimum or slightly lower.
  • Regarding delegation saturation, we will contact you via Twitter or our website if necessary.

So I hope you can feel reassured about ① and ②! As for ③, I am confident in my technical skills, so please feel free to rely on me! I want to build a good long-term relationship with the delegators. Also, I wrote about my feelings for the Cardano project here so please read it if you have time!
